Stimulus Funding Resource Center - The Cliff
| ReFocus, RePosition, ReInvent The International Center for Leadership in Education is closely watching the developments of the federal government’s emergency aid for public education and its impact on schools, districts, and states. The funds made available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) will aid in the financial challenges our education system is currently facing. However, we strongly urge educators to think about how to use these funds effectively and most efficiently. We are facing a funding cliff when these funds are no longer available. Therefore, we strongly urge educators to use this opportunity to refocus and reposition the system now so there are sustainable and innovative programs/initiatives in place when we reach the cliff. Since 1991, the International Center has worked with districts and schools across the country to make efficient and effective decisions that focus on providing a rigorous and relevant education to ALL students. We continue to draw upon our experience to support educators to increase student performance while using resources most effectively. |
