Small Learning Community Grants
| Presented By: Joe Shannon, Executive Director of Implementation, International Center for Leadership in Education and Hans Meeder , Executive Director, Institute for 21st Century Leadership |
$88 million in federal funds are available this summer from the Small Learning Communities program. Applications are due August 6.
This webinar provides guidance and support to help districts and schools take advantage of the tremendous opportunity the SLC grants present to improve large high schools and raise student achievement and graduation rates. This webinar covers:
- Updated information on the final priorities and grant guidance provided by the U.S. Department of Education.
- The levels of funding proposed for each school, how many schools within a district are eligible, and under what circumstances previous SLC grantees are eligible.
- How an SLC implementation plan can benefit from the strategic analysis and planning services offered by the International Center.
The International Center encourages high schools to pursue these funds and use them to support a thoughtful and strategic approach to creating an environment that supports rigor, relevance and relationships.
