This workshop will address the leadership skills and attributes needed to empower staff and other school stakeholders to make decisions based on the shared mission and vision of the school/district. Participants will focus on the characteristics and components of empowerment that include establishing and maintaining positive relationships with staff, students, and stakeholders, as well as developing trust that allows for the growth of productive professional learning communities.

Objective

• Identify activities that develop capacity to embrace change and build leadership
• Enhance staff and stakeholders’ ability to create a culture within their schools that meets the needs of all learners.
• Learn to build upon current leadership strategies to enhance leadership capacity
