The International Center believes that students need instruction in reading throughout their K-12 education. Two resource kits are available to assist schools in making reading a priority for all teachers:

Leading with Reading in Grades 7-12 for schools leaders to lay the groundwork for teaching reading in the content areas.
Strategic Reading in the Content Areas - Boosting Achievement in Grades 7-12 has strategies and tips for teachers in all content areas.
Reading Strategies for Career Academies and Career-Technical Education presents strategies and worksheets especially for career and technical area teachers.

The International Center also publishes a supplemental writing textbook:

Informational Writing - Writing that Gets the World's Work Done 36 relevant writing tasks for students in grades 11-12 (many are appropriate for younger students).
